Solarus—a history of excellence
Who we are. What we stand for.
Solarus first opened for business as an alternative choice to the largest telephone company of its time, Ma Bell, in 1896. So, it’s in our blood to relentlessly strive for better solutions and for a better life.
Solarus has witnessed countless technological innovations, from vacuum tubes to the digital age. And, we’ve seen the rise and fall of many competitors. What insight has Solarus gained from over a century in business? Deliver the best possible products, services, and customer service.
We tirelessly look for ways to improve: from Hosted IP to high speed internet, web hosting to television. And we don’t stop there! Solarus not only embraces new technology, we help local businesses understand and use it to their benefit.
We choose to call Wisconsin “home.”
Locally owned and operated, Solarus focuses on contributing to the economy of our home state, providing over 130 local jobs. According to one study, for every $100 spent with a local business, $45 gets reinvested directly back into the community1 (versus $15 for a national company). Money spent in Wisconsin, stays in Wisconsin.
Because our priority is on Northcentral Wisconsin businesses, we’re better able to stay connected to the needs of our customers. We understand our value is not only determined by delivering great technology but also by creating valued relationships with our customers. As a firm believer in building communities, we work with our local residents and businesses, supporting area Chambers of Commerce, school fundraisers, and non-profits.
